The partners within the project were the Medical Institute of I. Kant Baltic Federal University, Regional Clinical Hospital of the Kaliningrad Region, Medical Faculty of Warmian-Mazury University, Clinical Hospital of Warmian-Mazury University.

The main goal of the project was the creation of a cross-border Center for Advanced Training of Surgeons in Poland and Kaliningrad. In two integrated centers on the Russian and Polish territory simulation classes have been created, where practicing doctors and senior medical students can improve their qualifications and receive training. It is important that the centers complement each other: in two educational classes  in Poland neurosurgical and gynecological simulators are installed; in Kaliningrad – surgical (endovision and resuscitative) and therapeutic simulators are installed.

Specialists of the Regional Economic Development Agency provided comprehensive support for this project - they participated in the development of the application package, preparation of narrative and financial reports, and implementation of project activities.

This project became the winner in the nomination "Best project in the field of healthcare".
