On January 23, a seminar "Involvement in labor of young people with disabilities" is organized in the framework of the project "Mobility Makes Opportunity".
The main organizers of the seminar are the Regional Council of South Karelia (Finland), the Karelian Resource Center of NGOs and Kaliningrad regional public organization of people with disabilities “Maria”. Kaliningrad RDA, as an associate partner of the project, provided organizational assistance in the preparation of the seminar.
The seminar started with the presentation by Roman Aranin, general director of Kaliningrad company "Observer", who talked about his extensive experience of employment of disabled people, and also shared his plans for the company's development in the next few years. The company "Observer" gained wide popularity, spreading beyond the Kaliningrad region, thanks to many years of successful activity in the production and sale of equipment for people with disabilities. The degree of localization of the produced equipment has been constantly growing. In the coming months, on the land plot allocated by the regional government, "Observer" will start construction of a new production facility, whose capacities will help to partly cover the needs of Russian disabled people in specialized equipment.
The seminar is attended by representatives of relevant departments of the executive branch, as well as organizations of disabled people and other socially-oriented organizations from the Kaliningrad region, Karelia and St. Petersburg, as well as representatives of Lithuania and Finland.
The seminar is organized within the framework of the project "Mobility Makes Opportunity". Regional Economic Development Agency acts as an associate partner of this project (without financial participation), its tasks include assistance in the preparation of project activities, including the development, filling and maintenance of the project site.
